& Permitting
| The application for
the site construction permit has been submitted to
Seminole County along with the permit fee in the
amount of $7,965.00.
The permit should be issued in late
November.
|
| Ace Signs has
submitted for the sign permits on the property.
These permits should be issued early next
week. The
signs should be in place on the property late next
week.
|
Construction
| I will be meeting
next week with several contractors.
|
| I have already sent
out two sets of landscaping plans for bid.
The full site plans are available along
with sufficient building plans to obtain pricing.
I will be submitting these plans to
Brasfield & Gorrie next week.
I also plan on obtaining bids from Winter
Park Construction and Keene Construction.
|
| I need to get
contact information and meet with Tower
Construction sometime in the very near future. I would like to get the contractor on board before the end of
November.
|
M
arketing & Promotion
| The signs will be
installed on the property next week.
|
| I have attached a .pdf
file of the revised tri-fold brochure on the
project. On
the front page, I still need to insert the
“campus rendering”. I have been promised the digital file by no later than
Saturday evening.
I will print the temporary brochures on the
color laser printer Sunday.
We need these available for meetings next
week as well as the upcoming Chamber of Commerce
functions on both Thursday evening at the Regional
Hospital and the Fantasy Night banquet on November
1st.

| David Barley and I
had a luncheon meeting at Heathrow Country Club on
Wednesday with Loretta Barfield.
David has known her for years.
She is very prominent and has a wealth of
contacts in Heathrow and Alaqua.
|
| Later we met with
Terry Horton with Progressive Communications on
Wednesday afternoon.
They are the oldest and best known mail
house and large printing operation in Orlando.
They have been in Lake Mary over 20 years.
PCI has compiled the mailing lists for us.
They have pulled a list of all residences
within a 10 mile radius with a market value in
excess of $350,000 (this
should equate to $500,000 in Broward County).
The residential list includes 4,101 names
of which 2,857 are within 5 miles.
They have also pulled lists for all
attorneys, doctors, medical labs and diagnostic
labs, insurance agents, financial planners and
CPA’s in Seminole and Orange Counties.
The business SIC (Standard Industry Code)
list contains 4,870 names.
|
| We are working on
the layout for a print advertisement to run in the
Orlando Business Journal (weekly); the Central
Florida Business section of the Orlando Sentinel
(Monday’s); and the Seminole Herald (bi-weekly).
We are also subscribing to the Seminole
Herald.

| Thursday, David
Barley, Charley Barley and I had a luncheon
meeting with Mark Ziebarth, Vice President and
Office Manager of the CNL Bank next to the
adjoining Walgreen’s.
Mark, and that branch, specializes in
commercial accounts for professionals. He pointed
out to us that the wealthy people and those
located in gated communities bank a great deal
with him as they look at crossing I-4 as something
they prefer not to do and they regard the Westerly
side of I-4 as the “better” area
psychologically.
He will be a good referral source for us
and his clientele is identical to ours…..small,
successful businesspeople and we will be helpful
to him also.
He is second generation Floridian and took
a special interest in Charley and offered to help
him meet Seminole/Lake Mary chamber members.
He also is setting up an introduction to a
friend who has set up Certified Development
Company which is anxious to finance office
condominiums.
